I think his springs are about 1'' drop, would that negatively affect the camber?

 

A .7'' drop sounds good! Did you have any special camber adjustments?

I read you sign and I'm kinda curious about your ride, could you post a picture of your Z with the Tein S-Tech springs?

 

The NISMO S suspension only comes as a whole package or can you purchase just the springs?

 

Hotchkis springs. 0.7" drop and the same ride as stock

I went from stock to Eibach (liked the rigde height, hated the comfort), so I switched back to stock for 5000 miles

I then added my racing harts and wanted to lower the car again, so I tried Hotchkis (installed by protocav here in SD)

It settled to a 0.7" drop and rides the same as stock to me ... with a lot less bounce.

 

That sounds just like what I'm looking for!

#1 - Did you mean, it was too cushy or too harsh (bouncy)?

Now with the Hotchkis springs you say they feel better than stock; which sounds great!
#2 - But did it affect your camber too much?

It looked nice, but the camber was uncorrectable. It rode terribly rough for me, and it was "floaty" feeling in a turn ...kind of weird, but it was not very linear feeling

First off, your Z looks AMAZING!!!

And that looks to be the PERFECT drop; because I can't stand slammed cars.

So your camber was correctable with just adjustments during the alignment, is that correct?

Did you have to roll your fenders?

And what about rubbing? (Although that has more to do with your wheel offset)

 

Aren't the Eibachs progressive rate? That could explain why they didn't feel linear.

 

That makes sense. The ride on the Hotchkis springs should be very similar to stock since they are almost the exact same spring rates. Other than lowering the height, the only thing Hotchkis really did was soften up the rear springs a bit to account for the underdamped stock shocks. This fixes the rear bounce the Z seems to have a problem with.

 

I felt the Eibachs was a little softer than the stocks which improves the ride from stock. It was a better match for the 2003 shocks.

Here is some pics before I put on the coilovers. I didn't have to roll the fender for 245/35/19 & 285/30/19. & zero rub!!
I was able to get the rear camber within spec.

 

I was looking into this same setup, do you have any other pics...mainly of the 10.5 and the 3" lip? From the back if you could! PLEASE?
