Default Nitto NT555 R on a 350Z track

I am thinking of getting the Nitto's NT555 R Drag Radials as the back tires for my 350 Z Track. Since it has 18' wheels with a current size of 245/45/18 I need to know if I can put on the nitto's 285/35 ZR18 97Y since these are the only 18' that they come in.

Will that work or do I need to buy new wheels and if it works will the tires stick out too much?

My other choice are the BF Goodrich Drag radials that I've been using on my celi, they come in the right sizes but don't last as long supposedly

Help is appreciated.

I wouldnt recommend putting a 285 on a rim that is only 8.5" wide. Technically you could mount that, but I wouldnt want to ride in your car get what Im saying?

that's what I wanted to know, because I didn't know how wide the stock rims are.
Thanks

you can squeeze a 275/40 on there .... but that is too tall of a tire ... 285s are way too big .... that why I ditched the track wheels

I'm going to go with the BF-Goodrich 285/45/18 Drag Radials then
I love those tires anyways. I'll just have to change them more often.

Another question: Do I need to do anything special in terms of the tire pressure sensor?

Why???
The stock tire size is 245/45/18, putting on drag radials the same size should not affect the speedometer nor the vdc
am I missing something here?
