Default Noob Question of the Day (Search is down).

I have an 04 Perf. w/ tpms and stock 18".

When I removed the front tires, there is that little stud in between two of the 5 lug nut studs.

Is there a way to go around or remove this.

My dilemma is that I purchased a set of cheap aftermarket 17" ASA JH3 wheels with blizzaks and that little protruding stud is getting in the way of having the wheel monted flush for the fron tires.

The rear wheels dont have them.

I think it would be pretty useless to have 17" blizzak on the rears and stock 18s on the front.

At the vendor's site it states: Note: Some cars have a locating pin on the front hub and must be removed to use aftermarket wheel packages.

Could this be the pin/stud I'm talking about? Any suggestions on how to go about this?

Thanks in advance.
