Default Tire Choices?

I have a 2004 Roadster with 20,000 miles. As you all know, the Bridgestone Potenza's SUCK! For those that have switched, what tires did you choose and what differences have you seen...

Road noise?

Handling?

Feathering?

Thanks for any feedback!

tirerack.com has a nice selection and review of each tire.

For something summer only, id definitely suggest the Bridgestone S03's, and they come in the stock size too. My friend had a set on his RX7, and they were incredible in both dry/wet.

I have an '04 ZR.

My OEM Potenzas were pretty well gone at 12K, primarily due to feathering anthe tires' inherent softness.

I just put a set of Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons on, had each tire carefully balanced and the front end realigned to Nissan's latest Z specs. It's too early to answer all of Gohorhay's question, but the PS is definately quieter.

I have been told by my tire guru that the Z tires (regardless of brand) should be checked for proper balance every 4-6K miles as should the alignment.

Lou:

17" stock wheels.

PS: How are things in Tucson? Went to the U of A in the early fifties and still remember Mt. Lemmon, Lucky Lager Beer and A Mountain.

Thanks guys. I have 17" stock wheels. The Michelin Pilot Sports A/S are what I had looked at...

I was quoted $961 for a set of 4 out the door. Is that about right?

I paid $833 delivered to my tire guru. His charge for dismounting the Potenzas, remounting the PSs, balancing and aligning was $175.

The unit price for the front tires was $196. and the rear $202.
