Default Replacement Tires- What's good?

Hello all! I'm looking to replace my factory tires on my own dime.
I was originally looking at Goodyear Eagle F1 GSDs (245/45/18 front and 255/45/18 rear), but it appears these tires are on backorder for some time. I am looking for a strong performing tire with a decent wear life. I can't stand the RE40s. Thoughts?

Also....what are my options for a wider tire on my stock 18"s? How wide can I go front and rear?

Scott,

The BFG KDW2's will come close to the performance of the Goodyears.

Or there is always the Michelin Pilot Sports, but they're a step up in price. These are in stock currently as well.

Wasn't familiar with the PS2s, but I did some research and they seem to be one of the best all around max. performance tires. Any other thoughts on these?

I've read the same thing. Very expensive, but supposed to be incredible tires.

However, I'm about to have a set of KDWs installed since they were much cheaper and were available in the sizes I wanted.

KDW's suck KDs are great in the dry and suck in the wet.

SO3's are a great all around tire. I have always liked running them durring the winter time. while it rains here.

I haven't used the PS2s yet but I have heard some good things about them.
