Default The Doctor Needs Some Help STAT!

I am in the process of putting my new wheels on. Did the fronts with no problem but I CANNOT GET THE REAR WHEELS OFF! Car is up on jackstands and all 5 lugs are removed but the rear wheel will not budge! Is there something that needs to be loosened or removed from the INSIDE of the wheel?

Help STAT!

ditto..

or you can kick around the tire gently until you see the rim getting away from the hub. You will get it off that way eventually, just take your time. I wouldn't hit the rim at all, even with a rubber hammer. Work on the tire's outmost edge gently.

Did you remove both wheels lugs before jacking the car up? If so the could be bound up a little. Like suggested above, you may have to beat on the tire sidewall to free the wheel.

Shouldn't have to remove anything other than lugs. Any chance there just being a little rust (weld) holding them on try spraying on WD40 on lug /wheel areas then rubber hammer or BFH if that doesnt work

Had a Lincoln come in once with Thunderbird wheels and tires, FROM THE FACTORY. We took the lug nuts off, only to discover that the wheels were PRESSED onto the axle hub.

With all the lugs off, the owner of this car was determined to get the wheels off......by doing donuts in our parking lot.

Around and around he went. Faster and faster until smoke filled not only our parking lot, but the grocery store's next door too.

Eventually the cops came and were as amused as we were.

Never did get those wheels off.

I know this was no help....sorry.

Thanks everyone!

I sat on my butt and kicked on one side with the right foot and then the other side with my left foot and POP, off it came.

The new wheels are on and look AWESOME!

Look for pics later tonight.

Thanks again.
