The front tires are relatively new (they were replaced due to tire feathering) so I'm not looking to get new tires all around, just the rears. Should I just get the same size and make as stock or what? I'd like to increase the performance, keep the VDC happy, keep the same wheels, not spend a fortune, and have some tires that will last for a reasonable amount of time. Suggestions? comments? Feelings? Emotions?

Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position: known for best dry sticky dry track
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3: known for best dry/wet.
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2: sticky, nice but they don't make upgrade size (275/40/18 or 275/35/19) so if you have stock size tires and has some money, why not.
Kumho ECSTA MX: bang for the bucks. good dry track tires.
Toyo T1S: people love it and some don't but treads look good. i heard it handles well in dry and pretty good in wet also.

i have f1 gs-d3 and love it but if i don't have enough money to buy another set, i'll buy t1s (cheaper than f1) or ecsta mx (cheapest) depends on the budget.

Thanks for the reply, I'm looking at the 255/35 Michelin Pilot Sport. Will these fit, not throw off the speed reading, and keep the VDC happy?

 

T1S didn't hold well at the rear. I had to put winter tires earlier because mine rears were COMPLETELY bold. I had about 8 or 10 autoxes on them, but no track days...

 

I just replaced the Bridgestones, (11,000 miles), with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s 255/45/18 rear and 235/40/18 up front......What ever you do, NO Bridgestones......GL2U....Dave

 

had the S-03s and rode in cars with all the brands isugoo listed above. I'm now running BFG G-Force KDs and will never put anything else on my Z. Simply the best rubber I've every driven on!

I just got the michilen PS , 480.00 for the rear two.. but they handle very nicely..
