Offset required for a 9.5"/10.5" w/ 255/285?
What offset is required for a 9.5"/10.5" with 255/35-19" and 285/35-19" setup? My favorite wheel is the RH J8, but my favorite color, SBC, isn't available in that size - so I'm considering either the SBC 9"/10", still equipped with 255/285 (will the usual +26/+19 setup accomodate the 255/285 tires, or do I have to stick with 245/275??) or, go with RH J8s in silver so I can have 9.5"/10.5" - but the question would still be at what offset can I get those to not have to roll the fender, and still fit 255/285s?
TIA~!
TIA~!

I have Volks, 9.5 with 245/35-19 +30, and 10.5 with 275/35-19 +24. Front lip is 2 3/4", rear is almost 4".
In my opinion I could have gone a 255 on the front but with the rear off set a 285 would require rolling at my ride height, they are just to the edge.

SpeedDreams: you've lowered your car how much? You're saying that your 275's are riding so close to the inner edge of the fender that another 2.5mms would rub? Is that what I'm hearin? How far do you believe you could lower your car and have the 285's work at your +24 offset?
i have the 19 inch racing hart cpf-tuner in sbc and they are 9 inch in front and 10.5 in back. i dont know the offset but they only come in one size only.i purchased michellin ps2 265/30/19 for front and 295/30/19 in rear. i shaved fender and no rubbing. life is good.

Rickdogg (look him up) has Volk 19x10.5" rears +24 dropped fully with Teins, and he says no rubbing...
Man I'm getting conflicting opinions!

Here's the pic of the +22s all the way around on stock suspension . . .

Realistically, I think 285s might have a rubbing issue if you drop the car over an inch . . . the Espelir 10mm drop would have no serious problems. Using the 285s I have now, it makes the tire stretch a bit to fit the rim. I can't imagine a 275 on it

My only concern for you was the tires sticking out of the fender well, this may depend on which tire manufacturer you use. I have Toyo Proxes T1S.
I like the lower look on my car so the 275 is max for me. I agree that if you don't lower more then 1" you should be ok.......Good luck, and I don't blame you on a larger foot print, I would put 295's on the rear if I knew they would fit.

Very nice car 350G: great taste!
I'll have +26 on my rears, in a 10.5", or a +19 rear with a 10". Either way, it will be 4-5mm in more than your setup, so that makes me sure that the 285 will fit safely, even if I lower it. Zounds great, and TY for the help!
