20'' Wheel & Tire Discussion Thread
@bmmccann my tires dont stick out currently and they rub.
I guess I just don't understand offsets.
I'm definitely getting 18s.
I would like (f)245/??/18 and (r)275/??/18
Are 35s or 40s better in your opinion? Or 35(f) 40(r) or vice versa?
Well I dont want to pay more than 700/800 for a set of 4.
So if you could point me at a good site I would be thankful.
Especially one that sells the same rim 18x9 and 18x10.
Or could both tires fit on an 8/9/10 width?
Advantages to having diff. Widths?

If you go with 18x9 18x10, 245/40/18 and 275/40/18 would be a good fit. 7-800 will get you cheaper wheels such as XXR, Rota, Varrstoen, etc.. Look at nlmotoring.com, or look at the marketplace on this site. Lot of good deals in there.
Whatever offset you need depends on the width of the wheel you get. The lower the offset, the farther the wheel will be sticking out. You may need to roll your fenders if you get a semi-aggressive width/offset. For example, a 10.5" wide wheel with an offset of +15, rolled fenders are needed to run this setup or it will rub.
As far as the tire sizes go, that also depends on the size of the wheels.. But using the 18x9 18x10 as reference again, you want to stay as close to OEM diameters as possible, and 245/40/18 275/40/18 is closer than the 245/35/18 and 275/40/18 setup you mentioned.

What offset will not require rolling for a 8.5 and 9.5 width?
For 245/40/18 and 275/40/18?

These are nice. Know where I can get silver ones or ones like it?
Or anyplace I can get beyern Rapps for cheaper?
Love these. Or something close.

Can someone explain to me how a 275/40/18 in the rear will not rub/cut but a 285/30/20 will?
It's everytime I turn that the tire cuts I think?
Currently I have a flat and I can't drive so I need new tires ASAP.
I might have to order 225 and 245's unless someone can explain to me how a 275 will fit, because I don't want to be S.O.L. :/

2) Read this post in the TOP 100 FAQ thread:
https://my350z.com/forum/2487452-post8.html
3) It will take you to the following tire size calculator that you can compare the two sizes:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
Taking into account both wheel offset and tire size will be an indication of whether it rubs or not but you should already have your rear fenders modified.
1) Roll your rear fenders

Hi.
This is my first time trying to change the rims and I need some good suggestions.
I will be very appreciate if anybody can help me to figure this out.
I am trying to change my rim sets like the pictures I uploaded.
The rims specs are the followings:
Wheels and Tires
Ericsson/BBS LM-R 20x9 +8 (f), 20x10 +18, Bridgestone Potenza RE050 255/30/20 (f), 285/30/20 (r), PCD changer
I found ESM 20 inch BBS replica set (ESM-004 20) on the forum.
and their specs are:
20x8.5 (35 or 20 off set) And 20x10.5 (40 or 25 offset.)
I know I will be required to roll my fenders but dont know how much I have to roll them, also the spacers, the tires and the offsets. I dont have any clues.
I know it could be a very newbie question
but if anyone knows what to do, please help.
Thank you.

There is one more concern that I have. Do I have to change any springs or coilover? IF I do, What would be the proper way to do it? Any suggested set up and the brand? I really dont want them to look like a truck... My firend said I can just cut down the stock springs but it seems not right thing to do..

20" wheels FTW.
STANCE "SC5" High quality low pressure cast wheel. Prefer these over the Vossen CV3 because of the lip and also the spokes do not taper like on the Vossens.
20x10.5 Rear Plus 27 offset and 20x10 Front Plus 35 offset.
15MM hubcentric aluminum wheel spacer used on the front wheels to clear the Suspension arms.
Stock Brake Setup (non-brembo) and stock suspension.
