Default Anybody use jewlers rouge & buffers to polish wheel lips?

My iForged lips are starting to get hazy from all the hairline scratches on them. Has anyone ever used buffing wheels attached to a drill with jewlers rouge to buff them to a shine? I currently have been using wenol applied with a terry cloth towel, but it's a big chore to get them really sparkling. If I can attach a buffing wheel and just whiz away on the lips it would make it 100X easier.

This is what I had in mind.

You can also jack up the rear of your car, and stick the car in gear and polish the lip that way. Then swap wheels to the rear and go again.

That would work, but I would imagine it to be a bit dangerous.

Try this: http://www.flitz.com/

I haven't use it but I heard it works really well.

Yeah someone in the detailing forum suggested the Mothers polishing ball. Might have to check one of these out.

i have used the jewelers rouge on my lips, and it works very well. that $25 kit in your link should work well.

Flitz is simply amazing stuff. My other fav lately is the Mother's Billet Polish....does wonders as well and leaves a glossier finish that Flitz. I use Flitz more for really neglected areas

Do the Flitz and Mothers products actually remove the scratches that moog was looking to get rid of?

they will, but it all depends how bad the scratches are - to properly use a wheel takes alot of skill and patience

I can buff the scratches out just fine using my Wenol, but it takes a lot of time. Was just looking for a mechanical aid.
