Default Need tps help, guys.

my new 18" volk gt-n wheels and new tires are sitting at the installer's shop. installer says the tps won't fit the regular way cuz the wheels' valvestem is the long, curved kind. went to home depot for the straps, but they were too small. found some 15-22" adjustable-diameter straps online at Boaters World as recommended by someone on our site, but they are backordered 2-4 wks, and i sure as hell am not gonna wait that much longer to have my wheels installd.

i need to know more specifically either the circumference of the part of the wheel to which the strap attaches, or the inner diameter of the the 18" wheel, which i can then x pi to get the length. when i search for hose clamps on other sites, the range of diameters on each of those clamps is much smaller than that at boaters world. i'm thinking a diameter of 15-18" adjustability should meet my needs, no?

so if anyone has your wheels sitting out in your garage, could you please take a measurement and post it for me?

thanks in advance.

This thing is on, but most of us could care less about the TPS, especially base and enthusiast owners. Just don't put them in and forget about it. If you can't live without them, then be more prepared next time and put them back in when you get new tires in 10,000 miles.

well...since i paid for them, and underinflated tires cause buko accidents and decrease gas mileage, etc, i'm gonna wait for the straps to come in. i was given the impression by the vendor that the tps would fit normally in these wheels.

Why would your Volk GT-Ns be any different than everyone elses Volk GT series that they don't fit in? Don't believe Vendors, believe owners.
