Default Flex - Rear noise

I know this has been covered before. I have had my flex for over 18 months and the rears have always been excessively noisy. I am at the point where it is driving me INSANE. What do i need to replace and where can i get the parts to make this go away.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer.

Not sure what your noise is, but mine first had a ringing noise that was the washer on top and the nut on top had come loose. There were other squeaking noises that were bothering me too. I made sure all nuts were tight and then sprayed silicon spray everywhere there were moving parts, the bushings , the shaft at the top, everywhere. It quieted a bunch, in fact that was several months ago and I forgot about it until your post.

Yes, a knocking/clunking noise. It is most noticeable from the rear. Not noticeable in the front. I will probably try to work on it next weekend since i have a wedding to go to this week. sounds like it is coming from where the suspension meets the chassis above the wheel well.

If the nut on top of the rear shock is loose enough you will get a clunking noise.
Another thing, the shock is mounted at the top directly to the bottom of the fenderwell, metal to metal. My son made two hard rubber gaskets and put them between the shock and fenderwell and then obviously made sure these were bolted up tight.

I have this same noise coming from my rear, but was told it could be easily fixed. Try taking your car to the install shop and have them make adjustments.
