The speedo will be fine. When it says 99mph, you'll actually be going 100. Close enough. That front is a little tall though, just FYI. About 3/4 bigger diameter than stock.

Thanks. I like the more even look of the front and rear tires. As long as the front doesn't throw off the speedo too much, that's the important thing.

The speedometer will be very close with these tire sizes. The tachometer measures engine rotation, not wheel rotation so it is not affected by varying a tire’s diameter from stock size.

Post the tire sizes you are looking at so we can help you pic a better size.

BTW the car does not really like when the front is taller than the rear. ABS kinda goes off wheel speed.

@terrasmak,@Saf17 did post his tire size (but only the diameter) because his question only relates to tire diameter. He’s only asking about speedometer variations.

And, his tire sizing does approach “all-square.” In fact, his fronts are not taller than his rears.

I hope that I did not misinterpret your comments. --Spike

@terrasmak, I agree. Having the actual specs (tire size, wheel size and offset) allows a much better and more accurate answer.

Hopefull @Saf17 is willing to provide this info to get better help.

I'm going with RAYS 370Z wheels, with 20mm spacers in front. I think I'm gonna go 245/35 up front and 27/35 in the rear. 25.8 & 26.6 diameters. Same .08 stagger as stock.

So here is what I'm going with for my G37S sedan...

Forgeline MD3P: Gunmetal Center, Polished Outer Rim/Lip & Gloss Black Inner Rim: 19x9.0 +40 & 19x10.5 +45

It features a powder coated or chrome finish with a polished, powder coated, or chromed lip. The MD3P is available in sizes ranging from 18x7.5 to 20x16. And since each wheel is built to order, Forgeline can offer special features like custom offsets and a choice of center finishes.
Have to give BIG THANKS to Tony @ Deviate Motoring for giving me a lot of good information on Forgeline Wheels. We were going back and forth with HREs or Forgelines.

I've spent countless hours viewing different set-ups and playing with the wheel/tire calculator. I think this will be perfect for the everyday driver without any concerns.

Thumbs up options

Taking your question literally, there are other options to give a Z a "racier"
look without lowering.First, gotta agree that 19's are the best balance of
size &proportion for the 350.The addition of body parts...front lip, skirts etc will drop the line of the car 1.5-2"s.I'm not a fan of lowering or the expense.
possible ride quality involved. If you check out my vehicle pics, you would
sware the car has been lowered. Its stock except for Koni's and Nismo sways.
Also, running no spacers. My wheels have around 20 offsets.

Very much for the sedan. depending on aggressiveness a +30 to +40 for the front and +35 to +45 is the norm. I run a +20 & +25 on my Z.

Default 19" Wheel & Tire Advice

I have to admit that when it comes to wheels and tires it has just never quite clicked for me. I have a hard time figuring out what will work and fit based off the size I am looking for. Guy local has a set of 19x8.5 offset of +20 fronts and 19x9.5 offset of +25 rears with no tires. I have tried the tire and rim calculator and I keep hitting my head on the desk. I have a 2007 Z enthusiest so i have the traction control. My car is lowered on hotchkis springs so about a 1 inch drop. I am not tucking tire or anything by any means. I just need to figure out what the best tire sizes to run will be. I dont want elastic band tires as it is a daily driver.
I have researched and have some stuff still saved in my head from the last set i was going to buy which was same width just different offsets. I was thinking of 245/35 or 345/35 front and 275/35 rears. Anyone that can help will be greatly appreciated. I can usually search or learn and figure on my own but this stuff kills me.
Thanks guys

I have the same width wheels and I have 245/40's on the front and 265/40's on the rear. They're even with the rim and aren't too low profile. I think 35 profile is small and uncomfortable for daily driving.

255/35 front and 275/35 rear will be very similar to OEM sizes and keep your VDC happy.
