I have made up my mind and will be ordering the VOLK GT-7 wheels in gunmetal. My problem is the wheel size. I am definately going with the 19 inch wheel, but I have heard different things about the width. Many say 19x9.5/19x10.5 is the way to go, what do you think. I am also putting on a JP Aero body kit, so I don't know if this may make the rims look less wide or not. Can I please get your opinions on the wheel size and PLEASE can I get some pictures of the 19x9.5/19x10.5 setup on cars so I may be able to possibly get an idea of how they stick out from the fender, and what they look like in the fender well.

i really doubt its going to stick out of the fender, people are runnign that wheel all teh time. I think the only wheel that volk makes that people are running are the TE37 and LE37 w/ a 22mm offset. Its not the size that matters its the offset to determine whether or not the wheel its going to stick, just do a search on people with GT7's.

The fronts don't stick out of the fender at all.

The rears actually stick outside of the fender a little bit if you look from the top down. Not too much, but a little. The outside edge of the rear wheels sit like 2-3cm beyond the edge of the splash guards.

 

Wired: what's you tired size in the rear? Did you roll the fender - I am looking at the rear and I can't make it work for me mentally - how does that not bump the fender when compressed?

 

I've got Volk GT-V's in 19x9.5 +30 F and 19x10.5 +24 R, and I love the way they sit under the car. I don't think they stick out too far at all, but like the previous poster said, from above they may stick out a tiny bit. Here's a couple pics:

Another beautiful car. Thanks guys, I've made my decision and will go with the 19x9.5/10.5 setup................now its a matter of whick VOLK rim to go with on my Pikes Peak White z. I was set on a gun metal on the GT-7, but now the more I see the bronze on other Volk wheels models................mmmmmmmmmm DADDY LIKE!

 

I vote gold on a PPW!!! Custom order it on a rim style that you don't see to often, i.e. GT-AV's!! Any which way you go, stick with Volks!

Tire size: 255/35/19 front, 285/35/19 rear

The fenders in the rear are cut, not rolled.

When the suspension in the rear compresses, the wheel doesn't just move vertically up and down, it also moves closer to the car and inside the fender.

When I park on a steep hill or something, the rear tire gets tucked into the fender perfectly and it becomes more apparent how this setup works. Even in the most extreme driving conditions, I get no rubbing whatsoever, trust me.

9.5/10.5 is a good way to go. What is the offset of your wheel? The ideal offset are 24(front)/29(rear). With that offset, it give you a near perfect flush with your fender.

As for tire, try to go with 295 (rear) instead of 285. 265 for front instead of 255. That way, the tire sidewall will flush in even with your wheel. I have JP Aero body kit and my front tire still look a bit tuck in.

IMO a 9" front and 10" rear 19" rim is the perfect setup.
Right now I have 8.5FR 9.5RR. Im running a 245/35 and a 285/35 out back.
Reason why I say that is your paying extra for extra weight that is not usuable. If its for only looks than so be it. You can easily get a 315 on a 10" rim. So a 10.5 would be unusable because you can't really fit a wider tire than a 315 unless you go wide body. So, your buying a heavier and wider rim for no reason. But this is just my opinion. Others can say you get a deeper lip so its opinions really.

 

Is that so for the OEM 19"x10" Rays on the '06 GTc and Track? I have no clue on their offset, that's why I'd like to know.
