Default Wheel Locks, missing Card

So I purchased some new Nissan wheels locks from a member here. He forgot to ship the card for the locks.

Do I really need the card? BTW< the member is trying to locate the card and send it to me.

Guess I shoulda asked about the card prior to purchasing them, ugh!

Bump, I paid this guy via paypal so he already got his $. He said
he is still looking for the card. This is what he said.

"looking for the card....you ask about the card after you send payment and after they have been mailed....I'm looking for it...I'm sure its around somewhere...I go back to work tomorrow at 9 am...I'm sure its probably there somewhere...it could be an inconvenience yes..but you can take one of the lugs to a nissan store and the can use a master key and give you the number of the adapter to order...like i said though ill look when i get to work tomorrow"

What should I do?

1. Get my $ back and return the locks?
2. Not sure what else to do?

I am not mentioning this guys name due to he is still looking for them. Thoughts?

I knew I should have spent the extra $10 and got new ones from Performance, Live and Learn!

That's F'ed up. So he adverised them as *NEW* yet they are not new because not everything is included. *shakes head*

I would still try contacting Nissan to see if they can get you the adapter number. But seriously, that's ****ed up.

i'd say the card is worthless, but the adapter is very necessary!

He doesn't have the card and he knows it. I am keeping the locks, not worth the hassle. So my next question is, do I go to the dealer with the lock and key and get the adaptor or card number?

THIS IS WHY I don't buy expensive products from people on the INTERNET!

I will just post his name on the trader forum here.

His first e-mail was this when I asked for pics and only siad I would buy them if they were brand new, here is what he said,

"they are new...but not in the package...i took them out to install and then sold the wheels i was going to put them on so i never installed them

i dont know how to attach in the site....im sending now but its going to take a while for me to upload it....im on dial up....i gaurentee them to be what i said or return them for a refund "

New would imply that everything is in mint condition and that everything would be included.

Yes, post his SN so the rest of us know who not to buy from.

Yes, try going to Nissan.

i figured it was the same key they sell with all their locks? correct me if i'm wrong...

my technician friend has a set of wheel lock keys for just about anything you can possibly have...so it can't be too hard to find some. thieves are well equipped with them as well :P

good luck!

Well go thte locks today but they fit much tighter and I really had to turn the wrench to get them on.

Are the Nissan wheel locks not as smooth to put on as the OEM lugs?

the card is prolly useful if you lose the key. you can prolly get a card from nissan and provide the serial # on the box.

Should fit just fine...what I do to get the key in:

keep the key off the wrench first, then jiggle it around till it connects to the lugnut
Connect key to wrench
