on a 350z. I know it can be done if the front hub is modified. But is this a desirable combination? ie.. would most Z owners jump at the chance to swap their front 18x8 for some rear 18x8.5s? Thanks. I tried searching about 3-4 different ways and couldn't come up with a definate answer. Only that it was possible.

I want to do this too. It will work but its hard to find someone willing to sell just the rear wheels.

What if someone was willing to trade their rears for your fronts. Would most track edition owners be willing to do this as a straight up trade?

I have been thinking about doing the same thing. I think I might go ahead and buy an entire set and put 255/40s on the rears and then use the fronts for some track rubber.

Would you be willing to trade some rears for some stock fronts w/ good tires?

Actually, I want another set of fronts. Sorry if it was unclear. I want to give someone a set of rears. In return, I'd like to receive a set of fronts (18x8 225-45-18)

You gotta deal!!! Do your rears have scratches and dings? How is the tire wear? My fronts are perfect with only 4500 miles on the tires.

I'm running a set of rear Ray's Track rims on my front and rear. I sold the other four 8".

Combo works great. I don't know why Nissan didn't supply this originally.

Why would you have to modify the hub? I've known of Track guys that had their rears of the front by accident. The wheels get mixed up when mounting new tires and some people never know. On a side note, you'll find a lot of Z32 owners in this same situation, except they've got it one worse. Their wheels are actually directional. So, on top of being on the wrong end of the car, they're on the wrong side as well.

I know the G35 coupes have a stud mounted on the front hub that prevents accidental mounting of the rears onto the fronts. ie.. the G coupe wheels are all 18x8 but come with 225-45 and 245-45 tires. But as mentioned, the stud is easily removed. I must have mistakenly assumed the Z was same/similar.

Boxed them up tonight. Your pm box is full btw. I'll try to ship tomorrow via fed ex ground. But can you give me your full name for my reference? Mine is Jeff Iwata btw.

Can I ask who would buy the fronts from ya? Curious to know who also would be interested besides someone like myself.
