OK .. some research. I can't find any weight for the new Toyo ProxesT1R .. but the PS2's clearly come out on top of the weight category .. and according to T&R surveys .. the best of the bunch for performance.

PS2 245-35-19 23 lbs
S03 245-35-19 28 lbs

PS2 275-35-19 27 lbs
S03 275-35-19 32 lbs

5 pound difference per tire ... 20 pounds for the whole Z.

Ok I just put in my order for the tires... heres what I went with

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
285/30/19
255/35/19

I got a decent deal on the set for just over $1200. I was very happy with my S03s but I figure I will give something else a shot. Hopefully these will be even better.

My on concerns left are: I do not remember what the size ratio has to be to keep the computers happy, but my new rears are 807 rpm and the fronts are 799 rpm.

Other concern, my wheels are a bit narrow for this. My rears are 19x9.5... the tire i ordered calls for a 10.0 min, hopefully it will be ok because my current 275's really look like they could be a tad wider on these wheels without have a funny bulge to them. We will see, if they come in and they dont look like a good fit for the wheel, I may have to exchange them. I think the 255's in front should be fine on a 19.8.5 wheel.

I think the final draw for me was the 20lb weight savings and that I just wanted to try something new... I will post my results when they come in... I think the rears are currently back ordered.

phunk .. Looking forward to your input.

Same boat as you're in .. I have been using BS for 12 years .. always upgrading them. I was thinking of getting the BS Potenza RE-01R here .. but I really want to try the PS2's -- something different... with great reviews, and a lot less weight.

the rear tire is going to be "balloon" looking on a 9.5 unfortunately.

As for the weight, don't get too **** about it guys - might make you feel better in the head but you will never eve ever notice 20 lb difference spread evenly across all 4 wheels of the car - and if you can, you should be inteviewing for IRL teams and not in your current carreers

if your car weighed as much as mine, you would be looking to loose weight anywhere you could!
