Default Tire replacement on stock 17's

I have the stock 17's and would like to replace the OEM RE040's. I'm thinking about the Pilot Sport PS2 or the Toyo T1-S. I'm no guru when it comes to tires, but noticed that the 225x50x17 were not available. Both of these tires seem to come in the 45 series at that size. What should I do?

Kuhmo Ecsta ASX, Avon Tech M500 or Avon Tech M550 A/S are all tires just over $100 that have good ratings and will help save some money if you have to replace tires more frequently due to feathering.

I am running the Toyo T1-S and they are a great tire for the $$$. I was looking at either those or the Kumho MX's but for a few more $$$, I could get the Toyo's. I have heard nothing but good things about Toyo's in general and I will more than likely be going back w/ the Toyo's in the future.

They grip really well and do have some sidewall flex, but it flexes when you push it then it settles and doesn't flex anymore. So you kind of know when it will flex and you can expect it. Great tire IMO.

Check www.edgeracing.com and tiresavings.com for good prices.
