I'm pretty new to the whole rim and tire thing, and it's quite confusing to me. I'm slowly grasping the concepts of offsets, notations (such as tire sizes), etc.

But I would've found it useful if that was explain somewhere in this forum.

Also, if someone can list some "standard" size for rim/tire upgrades (like what width and tires to get for 18",19" rims), and keep that stickied, it'd be much easier for noobs like me to start doing our rim shopping homework!

Any other generic information (like guidlines for picking offsets) would be great too!
