Default Tire Rotation or replacement?

Now I have a perf model with 14K miles and OEM tires & OEM wheels, now on non track models all the wheels and tires are the same size. And I was lookin at my tires today and noticed that the fronts have good tread left but my rears are already getting close to the wear bar. I am wondering if I can rotate the fronts with the rears since they are the exact same or do I need to get new rear tires soon.

And if rotating isnt an option should I get 4 new matching tires or just 2 now since the front are still good.

Rotation is not an option. Look at the tire sizes written on the sidewall... you'll see that they are different widths front and rear. As far as replacing only the fronts or only the rears, its personal preference. I prefer to replace all 4 at the same time. .. but thats me.

nevermind, i dunno why but whenever I looked at my tires I thought they were the same size.
dyslexia I guess...

Now the question is what to get?
I was thinking about g-Force T/A KDW, Nittos 555, or So3 Pole Positions.

I want something quieter with more grip if possible but I know the OEM suck.

Also would wider tires be recommended?

How wide can I safely go?

You have the 18s?

I put 255 45 18 Nitto 555's on mine and they look good without being too big...but they're not the super-low profile "rubber-band" look.

The Nitto's are only $161 each in this size, where the pole positions and everything else were well over $200. The Nitto's aren't as good, but they're close, and for the extra money in my pocket I'm happy.

Infinitely better--I had SO3's on my Spec V and that thing was amazing. The tires really defied physics, so much so that on hard corners my roomate could get his fingers between the door and door-frame (the car had all Nismo suspension, etc.).

I bought the Nitto's because I was willing to trade a slight performance edge for longer tire life and way less money. If you want all-out grip and you are not as concerned about tire life or price, get the SO3's or Pilot Sports.
