Since you got a nice brush on kit there is no reason to remove the caliper. You can just pull the pads and paint the caliper on the rotor.

Like King Tut said. It's pretty easy to paint while still on the car, just pull out the pads. Saves you bleeding the system when you put everything back on.

I tried the Dupli-Color Kit out. Very Nice Finish and Quality Look.

Took about 12 Hours to do:

Remove Drivers Side Wheels, Remove Brake Pads,
Paint Calipers with Brush.
Repeat Paint every 15-20 Minutes.
After 10 Coats, Let dry for 1 Hour.
Re-Assemble.

We let them dry for 24 Hours without driving the car, then
started on the other Side. Let it dry for 24 Hours and then Gave
it the test drive.

Kit came with everything but a tooth brush, (Cleaner, Paint, Brush, Stir, Mask) for $14.99 at advance auto.

Buy a small Artist brush. the one that comes in the kit is just a bit to big to reach those tight areas without getting paint where you don't want it.

Another Good Trick,

Wrap a Paper Towel around your Rotor and then rotate it under the entire caliper. makes a perfect mask.

ETA: Here are my Results with Duplicolor;

Thumbs up

I have used the G2 caliper paint... it is a very good product. The color that I used (red) did not change over time (just over a year), or if it did 'color shift' a bit, the change was too small to be noticable.

I agree that you will need to buy an 'artist brush' (the one that comes with the kit is pretty lousy!). Get one about 3/8" wide; flat tipped.

Don't disconnect anything; just take your time.

here is a link to a page i just made, it has pics of me painting my calipers with a brush kit. very easy to do, little tip for removing the brake pad, on the backside of the caliper, there are 2 bolts, one at the top and one at the bottom, remove only the one at the bottom and slide out the bolt, then flip up the caliper and remove the brake pad, you do not have to take off both bolts.
