Rear wheels fit in front??

Rear wheels fit in front??
I apologize if this has already been discussed...
I have the enthusiast version with the stock 17 inch wheels. I use it as my daily driver, so I don't do track driving or have any "special needs".
My fronts of course have the feathering issue, although they have slowed since the alignment. I have 15K miles on them, I can feel the feathering/cupping. They are not terrible, but I believe they are getting noisier in general at any speed...
Here is my question: I was thinking that if I had the same size wheels and tires all around, I could at least rotate fronts to backs at some interval, whether it is 3K miles or 6K miles, etc...
Since the stock configuration is 17 X 7.5 wheels and 225 tires up front, what if I got a second set of rear wheel/tires (17 X 8 235s) and put them up front, then I could do the rotation front to back.
After moving the fronts to back in a rotation cycle, maybe they would flatten out (my rears wear fine I have 27K miles on them and they are pretty much even, though nearing the end of their life.. maybe a few thousand more...).
Does this make sense? Is this configuration going to screw up my spedometer readout? Any opinions?
Thanks for any input!
Mike
