Question ? What offset r u running?

It's hard to believe that the stock wheels are +30mm offset. But I've seen TE-37s on a 350Z before, and they looked pretty deep. I want some BBS wheels. I thought +5mm would be okay. What offset do you guys run?

+20 all the way around.

btw i think +5 would make your rims stick out quite a bit. i believe most people want to stay around +18 to +25 to make the flush.

I heard the deepest offset you can go was a +19 offset. Is that true??

My 18' Enkei RPO3's are +18 in front and +22 in the rear. Fronts are 9" wide. Rears are 10" wide.

Thanks for the info. I'm so glad I asked the question first because that would be sad if I did that and made my Z look like a Bean-Burner.

Oh yeah, what about rim width? I got one guy here saying 9 in the front and 10 in the rear....

Can someone explain offsets to me... I dont understand what they are. I know it has to do with how wheels sit, but.. what else?

the width of your wheel and tire play a big role in choosing offsets

the stock 18" rims might be 30mm offset, but they're only 8 inches wide

A rear 295mm tire on a 10.5 inch rim with 43 offset would be practically the same flushness against the body work as a 9.5 rim with 275mm tires and a 30mm offset...

it depends on the width of the wheel...

if you run a 8" wide wheel in the rim.. and +0 offset will look flush with the fender...

actually...

10.5" wide rim in the rear with +30mm will line up the same with the fender as a 8.0" wide rim in the rear with +0mm

That makes it flush with the fender, but what if you wanted the wheels tucked in a bit? Then would +25-26 offset be good?

8.5" @ +25 245/35/19
10.5" @ +29 295/35/19

5/8" drop with front wheels tucked and rear wheels tucked between 1/8-1/4"

This may help too...

Alberto, Sweet wheels!!!! I see you got them from Evolution. I am not familiar with them. How was the service? Did you shop around before buying from them?

Finally, can I get some contact info for them? I'm shopping for Volks right now and based on your comments above, Evolution just might be the right place to get them from.

Then I've got to make a decision between the Volks and the Axis Reverbs (pic attached). I hear some folks have had issues with their Axis Hiros (cracking) and I'm pretty sure Volk makes a better wheel, although I bet they are more expensive than Axis.

Thanks!

matt, does that offset make the wheels almost flush with the wheel well? I've read ppl doing +22 all the way around for 8.5f and 9.5r rims.

Nismo's:
18 x 8.5 +25
18 x 9.5 +30

To me, these are "perfect" offsets. Aggressive but not too wild.
