Best tire depends on your requirements.
Best wearing tire will not be as good for track use.
Also price vs performance is a factor.

I like Kumho MX for street and occasional track use.
They were also less money than other performance tires.
Go to tirerack.com
Good prices and reviews of all tires.

Bf Goodrich KDW or more aggresive KDW2...new but I like em better than the Yokahama's I had before. And they got the right sizes if you go 19's there aren't many to choose from.

The number 1 tire in both CR & tirerack survey is Goodyear F1 GS D3. People on the Z boards who have them speak highly of them. But Goodyear does not make the tire in OEM 18" front size.

PS2s get a lot of play but I don't think they come in OEM sizes.

I went with Toyo TR 1s based on CR survey & lots of positive reports on Zzzz boards. I wanted to stay with OEM sizes.

I have the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3s on my Nismo wheels. I have been very pleased with them so far. I also like the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s, but they didn't make the recommended rear size for the Nismos. My research indicated that those are two of the best all round tires available for the Z. Some may argue that there are less expensive tires like BF Goodrich KDWs or Kumhos, but for my money I like the Eagle F1s or the PS2s.

My favorite is Toyo T1-S so far. They perform very but it seems like they have soft side wall. Other than that, everything else is great.

I really like Kumho MX. They perform extreamly well and has great price too. The only thing I did not like about the MX was the tire/road noise.

Pirelli P-Zero was good also but after not as good as the MX. The only advantage about the P-Zero was that it had no/very little tire/road noise.

I like my BFG KDW II's better than my MICH. Pilot Sport All Seasons. They seem to grip alot better. They are a bit more noisy though. Suprisingly they seem to be wearing better than my Pilot Sports even though the treadwear rating is lower.

I have Bridgestone Wideovals in the rear on the stock 17s (245s). They are a pretty good tires. I would recommend them.

I have Nitto NT-555 on my stock 17's. And I seem to like them matched with my stock 17's. Running 245/45-17 front and 255/45-17 rears.

I really love the new Falken RT-615's Put them on a set of 17X9's and run them on the track. They say treadwear is 200 but I don't know as they seem to grip really well and hardly got greasy. Price is nice too, comparable to Kumho MX.

You can run the Falken's on the street without issue in the dry. They are supposed to be better in the wet than the older 215's. But if it's all weather then perhaps something like the BFG KDW. I have a set on my street wheels and have no complaints even the wet (though it doesn't rain that much here in California).
