+1. I also would like to here from anyone running a non staggered wheel set-up. Supposedly it makes the car more netural handling and gives you less understeer. There was an article in sport compact car about it awhile back.
This issue has come up many times.
For the track, I have been running a set of ADR Kasai's in 18x9, 35mm offset with Toyo T1-S tires in 265/35-18. This has worked well for me. Handling is very neutral, and you can swap front to rear for longer tire life. One track benefit is the smaller diameter tire provides a lower gear for better drive out of corners. On the street, your speedo would be off a little bit though, and you would run a higher rpm at highway speeds.
Several others on this forum have also run non-staggered setups very successfully.
