TPS...strange problem with aftermarkert wheel!

Default TPS...strange problem with aftermarkert wheel!

Got my Axis Hiros put on recently. The TPS fit fine, but the problem is the the TPS monitors are not reporting the correct postion.

For example:
The TPS screen in the cabin reads for the front tire pressure represented by F 35
35
....but it is getting the tire pressure from the rear wheels. I thought the issue might have been as simple is each TPS monitore needs to be in certain wheel. That is not the case. So now I have the the fronts reading the rear tire pressure and the rear reading the fronts. The installer couldn't figure it out and nor could Sheridan Nissan.

Anybody have suggestions?

I think you have to keep the original tps in its original positian ie front left and front right andd such.

If not you could recalibrate them.

absolutely need tps in its original location on the car, or recalibrate like auto said.

Thanks! How would the installer tell which TPS monitor goes in which location? I'm thinking this is something the installer should have done when he took out them....basically make note of what goes where. Would a dealer have to recalibrate the sensors?

When he took the front left wheel off he should of moved the front left tps sensor. ect ect..

Dealer will have to determine which sensor is in what wheel and reprogram the TPS computer.

well, it's too late now....might as well just take it to dealer to recalibrate

If it was me I would take it the dealer for recalibration, not sure how much they might charge. You could just air one tire up or down to see which sensor is where, maybe they just switched front to rear and the left/right is correct.

Anybody have any idea how much that might cost? I shouldn't have to pay a dime being that the installer frigged it up to begin with.
