I ended up going with the bfgoodrich kdw2's. They are awesome.

 

If you're happy with the tires which you currently have, why not buy another set?

 

Every tire and wheel combination is a compromise. Wider tires means wider wheels means more weight which is bad.

Comparing a 8-inch tire on a 8-inch wheel, and the same brand 9-inch tire on the same 9-inch wheel, the 9-inch tire will allow more g’s in the corner before breaking traction.

The problem is that when you go for a wider tire, you usually select a lower profile tire. The sidewall of a 50-series tire will “flex” more that the sidewall of a 30-series. The additional “flex” gives you some addition “stick” before the tire breaks traction.

Humble opinion and all that polite stuff.

Have you ran or watched autocross? Count the number of cars running 30 series tires as compared to those running 50 series?

 

Definitely do not get the Toyo T1-Rs no matter what you do. They are terrible.
