eh, its easy to adjust, but you will have to align every time...

you can drive daily with 0 camber in the rear, you will have better tire wear for daily driving, (that is unless you are like me and take every corner as hard as possible)...

old thread i know but wondering if someone could answer my question, would a 245/40 and 275/40 setup fit on the stock 17s. i like 17s so im having em made gloss black and would like to throw some meaty tires on them so if anyone could tell me what the widest i could go is. especially jason since you have experience with the 17 inch wheel tire combo. thanks

on the stock wheels those tire sizes would boulge out... cornering will be sacrificed and feel wabbly...

i wouldnt recomend more then 255 on the rear and 235 up front... even that is pushign it on the stock wheels IMHO...

go w/17s, lighter wheels = more efficient drive tran (release more ponies). you feel the difference if you remove 10 lbs from the drive tran. wont feel anything if remove 10 lbs from gross weight of the vehicle.

I’ve been driving with 17-inch tires for about 32,000 miles: dry street, wet street, open road course (legal), drag racing, a little street racing. Overall, I’m content with the performance of 17-inch tires.

imo, 17s are dwarfed by the z's huge wheel wells.

I would love to stay with 17s and go wider but I cant find tire sizes that don't reduce the overall tire diameter. In the end, out of convenience and tire choice and what I think is proper sidewall fit, I will probably end up compromising on 18s.

you can go slightly smaller then stock diameter. your going to be off by about 2-4 miles an hour with most profiles from when i checked bout goin 245/40 and 275/40 it was like 4 miles an hour or so so it wasnt bad.

It's not the speedo, although with my stocks it reads higher than reality (reads 85 at a real 81) so that would get even worse. I just don't like the look of the lower profile tire on a 17. In short, I want the same sidewall hight with wider tires so it fills the fenders the same way as stock. The smaller sidewall makes the fender opening look too big, even if the car is lowered, imo.

i guess but my thing is if you drop the sidewall height it looks less like suv tires. and you can drop it enough so that there isnt to much gap. eventually ill be going with the setup i mentioned and dropping the car over an inch. ive seen it done and it doesnt look like there is too much gap.
