Just got it in the mail. Calling my dealer right now to find out about these tires with a "feathering resistant" tread pattern.

I called NNA today to try to find out what new "feather resistant" tires were they were planning to use in the campaign. The guy I talked to couldn't understand. I kept trying to explain what the letter said and get from him the make and model of the "substitute" tires Nissan is using to replace the Bridgestone Potenza RE040's. He said he would research and call me back with the info. He got my machine and left a message saying the new tires were Bridgestone RE040's. Either he's an idiot (likely) or Bridgestone has modified the design of the RE040's (doubtful)

Does anyone know what Nissan is using?

So I've read the whole letter and let me get this straight... if the tread is between 2/32 and 3/32, I pay 60% for labor or parts? I've been on the stock tires for almost 20k miles now, but my rears didn't even pass inspection and I'm assuming my fronts are within the tread range mentioned above...can anybody clarify this for me?

I just picked mine up from the shop today... Looks like the exact same RE040s that were on it...

I had the alignment and tires 100% paid for by Nissan. I half-@ss measured them before I went and knew that I had over 1/8" (4/32") with about 23K on the tires. My rears are completely bald. (I just put this set of rims/tires back on to get the new Potenzas.)
