Default Rotor upgrade

I have a 2004 non track model and I was thinking about changing out the rotors for some cross drilled/slotted. I've looked on ebay, and there are quite a few of different brands. So what's good to get, and what's not good to get? I'm sure Brembo would be rated one of the best, but other than that, what are some good brands? or are they all the same? And another thing, if I change out my rotors, I do plan to change out my brake pads too, are stock pads good for aftermarker rotors or what should I get?...recommendation?...advice anyone? thanX

I've seen them priced for anywhere frmo $150 to $500....what gives?

We have some great 2-piece rotors for your car. They have the same vane design as our BBK's. Here's the info:
http://www.stoptech.com/press_releas...drkrelease.htm

They save a ton of weight and flow a lot more air. The replacement iron for these is under $150. Therefore, if you plan to go through a couple sets of rotors over the next few years, they're a really good value proposition.

how much weight do they save? front rotors and rear rotors?

I know how much the brembo rotors weigh, but can't find info on how much the stoptech's weigh that fit the brembos

it worked great. i installed with goodrigde lines. lines were not as expected but rotors/pads worked really well. (and of course, it looked really good)

pretty good bite and low dust and good looking. couldn't complain any but you know, i upgraded to brembo. so i took it off.

Sup Joe! Houston here too.

As for break rotors, look into the stage 2 from stop-tech. Comes w/ SS braided lines, pads and rotors for all 4 corners. If you go w/ aftermarket rotors that are drilled or slotted or both, stock pads will wear out to fast. Also always bed in new rotors and pads.
