Nissan Letter in Mail on Tire Roar
Anyone else get the letter in the mail from Nissan NA about the tire roar and extending the warranty? I have been monitoring my tires and I have now 23,000 miles on my 2004. I haven't seen any of the signs of the treadwear associated with the tire roar so far. I do hear some roar when I slow down but have always heard that from the first day I had the car so I considered it normal. I'm thinking I'm going to go ahead and take the car in and see. I don't like to take my car in for sevice unless I absolutely have to as I always fear that they will mess the car up. I plan on trading the car next year so if I could get new tires from Nissan then I wouldn't have to worry about new tires.

Yep. I got my letter too. Going to take my car in for sure. I already took it there once to get an alignment under warrantee. They wouldn't do it, due to excessive tire wear. Then told me to go get new tires and bring it back. I told them, "Fine! Can you please write that on my Service Ticket?" They did. So, I'm taking it back now to get it aligned AND to get reimbursed for my new Nitto555s.

Yeah I just got mine a couple days ago, but I have aftermarket suspension, rims and tires. It's not worth it for me to put everything back to stock just to get an alignment. Good to see Nissan is addressing the issue though.
