How Long have you had it? Have you been driving on pebbles surface road alot?
I remember my Konig used to do these after about a year when I had my Honda.
But I had a set Of Hartge Classic for 3 yrs (just rock chips but not peeling). Hmm. I thought Maido was a pretty good Quality rims... I am sure after you call them, you would probably get a response "we don't cover normal wear and tear"

It's been less then a year, if the coating they use sucks that shouldn't be my fault.

I clean them with cleaners that are for ALL types of rims (no acid).

and both of the rims in the rear are like new, it's just the front ones that are bad.

maybe the 19'' 9.0 rims had a defect ? we'll see....I sent the pics to where I bought them from and we'll see what happens...

Looks like they have some serious quality issues. Anyways, never use wheel cleaning products on aftermarket wheels period. It might say it is safe, but you never know. Soap, water, and elbow grease are the way to go.

I dont think it's from the cleaning products,

As only the front wheels are damaged.

You get more brake dust in the front so maybe you used more cleaner.

I've used this cleaner before, trust me it's NOT the cleaner.

Contact the both the vendor and the manufacturer! A friend of mine that sells aftermarket wheels advises me never to use any kind of wheel cleaner out there. It has a chemical that eats up the polish/clear coat. I had my wheels for 4 years and I only use the car soap and water. Good luck!

I have noticed that I have slight flaking around the center chrome cap on my front wheels, and I use the Meguiars Hot rim cleaner, also says safe for all wheels. **** that. I am going to take pics and email to Meguiars, and Motorsport Dynamics where I got my rims from....later, and GL.

Ever since those first little flakes, I tossed the bottle and have only been using high pressure water and soap. No problems since. Rears are perfect.

well I'll be using only soap and water from now on but I'm still convinced that it's a coating defect on Maido's part.

For the amount I paid for these wheels, they should compensate me in some way...
