Default My wheels came in but they are not the same as the pic

New wheels are in but there not as same as the pic. They remind me of a stock 350z wheel with a lip. I havent seen them in person yet but my shop is trippin on them. Heres the pic my shop sent me and the link of the Asanti pic.

I don't understand. Are you complaining or are you happy? The wheel width and offset determine the lip size. You can't even see the lip in the pic at that website.

It looks like the image is of the 22" rim and you got a smaller version...

Oh yeah there are only 4 rivets instead of 5 on your wheel. Definitely a bigger diameter on that website.

The lip is the lip I got what I asked for. Four in the rear and two in the front, perfect! But look at the spokes, see how there routed on the edges and thinner? Mine are not, I dunno maybe I just have to see em in person.

yeah...someone else had the same problem with Asanti wheels, something to do with truck and not-truck wheels.

the rivets are only four because of the size of the spoke. there is a thread somewhere on this forum. i'll search, and post if i find it.

nevamind, it was on g35driver.com

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthre...t=truck+asanti

looks like the same exact thing, but with a different style wheel. pictures show a thinner spoke, but the wheel that was shipped has a much thicker spoke.

only difference is GMan noticed the difference 4 months later.

Hey, the pics on superbuy tires are deceiving. Did you order from them? I was warned before I bought my Asanti's that the pics give a little different take of the rims. It tends to be a problem for most of the black rims. I think it has to do with the way that they chopped the rims into the pics. The 112's that I have are a lot skinnier on the website pics. In person they are much wider. I think they look good dude! You are right though...the pics look different than the actual pic that you got from your shop. Wait until you put them on your ride. I wasn't sure about mine either but after they mounted them they looked sick!

Most rims look different in person than in pics. I'm sure you will love them! Post some pics when done.

I think these things are to be expected when you pick a wheel that starts at 18" and goes to 26". Its definitely not really a sports car wheel.

I just talked to my buddy at the shop(the owner) He said it looks nothing like the pic or the pic in the poster he has. The edge of the spokes are not the same. He thought it might be a different model but after looking there isnt one.

Trucks like nice wheels too and just because they are on Lambos doesn't make them a sports car wheel. You can't deny that it isn't a truck wheel that may fit a sports car in smaller sizes. It is more like a big body / truck universal wheel. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with your choice. Just saying I can see how the wheel would have to change to accomodate a 26" size.

That was my problem with them. If they had thinner spokes they would look more "race"

The 22 inch version of that would be hot on a black SUV! I dont see anything wrong with them, slap em on!
