I currently have a set of nismo lugs on my car and while putting my wheel back on today i overtightened one of the ugs and the wheel lock cracked. It didnt brake in half or anything but it is cracked making it unusable. Is there a way to fix this? Should I just call a wheel specialist? Anyone exprience anything like this?

 

not trying to be a smartass but why not just get a new wheel lock and replace the cracked one?

 

i thought each wheel lock had its own special design?

 

You can order a new matching wheel lock key if you still have the serial # from the set your using now.

 

Did the key socket crack around the male/female insert? I say get a different brand if you cracked one by tightening it.

 

You can't overtorque the wheel locks. Its not a matter of brand that will crack as all wheel locks will crack if overtorqued. Go buy another set and next time just make the wheel locks snugg on the bolt and the rest, torque them to 85ft-lbs. I work at Discount Tire.
