Default Lost wheel lock

I was just wondering, I lost the "key" for my wheel lock, is there any way I can unlock them? Are the keys generic as in all nissans share the same one or do I need to go to the dealership. I rarely use them except when I changed my HIDs, but recently when I got my clear strips, while I was trying to remove the bumper I realized it was missing. Thanks for your time, and hope I get some good news.

The dealer may have a code to where you can get a replacement.

If the dealer cant help, you you can use an air chisel or impact hammer to put a cut into the edge of the lug deep enough to then angle the chisel and carefully persuade them off. But dont slip. One slip and you've destroyed your rim. Too much effort and you can snap off your stud. I would consult a mechanic if you've never done this before.

Well I went to sears, the largest bolt they have wont even fit it, so im pretty much stuck with either going to the service center or a tire repair shop. So I called the service center, where I was told it was $30 dollars to remove EACH wheel lock, total of 120, and then I would have to order new ones. I guess I am screwed other wise.

I lost my lug key as well, Dealer had a universal lug key and was able to remove lock but I had to replace locks. They were unable to replace lost key. But only took seconds to remove old locks. They in fact do do use customer locks when completing service. They use universal keys to speed things up or as in my case, was careless.

Don't pay a cent and don't do anything to damage your wheel. My dealer did for free.

I guess the dealers in my area all dont believe in customer service. I called into 3 local dealers, all sending me to the parts dept. From there they send me to the service center who in turn sends me back to the parts dept without any help. Then they tell me $120 dollars to remove them. They tell me then to just bring it to a tire repair shop to break the locks. So I ask them, why is it cheaper for them to break it than rather you use a universal key to take them off, how does this make any sense. The guy on the phone replies that he doesn't know and pretty much blows me off. So It was your dealer who had the key or a service center? Cause when I called, the dealer said he didn't have it, and the service center said they did but for $120 dollars. Also Jason think you can PM me a set of wheel locks that would fit with the stock rims? Thanks all for the help by the way.

The tech's at our dealership have a set of wheel lock key's...

They are the Service Departments though...

We have the Factory Wheel locks as well as McGuard wheel locks for sale...

But every key is different...

The Factory Wheel locks are made by McGuard, If you can some how see the 3 numbers on your wheel lock, you can call McGuard and order a new key!
