Default tire wear question on stock 17's

I have the stock 17's but due to road hazards I have had to have to my front tires replaced (under a 3rd party road hazard warranty). I had my front right tire replaced at 8k miles and I just had my front left tire replaced. So I am sitting on two rear tires that have 16k miles worth of wear in the rear, and up front i have 0k on the left and 8k on the right.

I figured it was about time for me to replace my tires since most people don't get much more than 18k miles but he said I had 7/32 tread on my rear tires which doesn't sound like it need to be replaced. I never do burn outs or launch hard so I expected my fronts to be the first to go...

Is that what normally happens or is it the rears that normally go first (assuming mild driving)... those of you who never had tire feathering issues, what went first? your fronts or rears?

I hate the OEM tires and the first one I have to replace with my own money I am switching all 4 to Falken I just was wondering if by having my front tire replaced have I bought myself a little more time.

Really depends on how you drive but almost always my rears are more worn than my fronts. As for Falkens, they have very little treadlife. I blew through my set and I was driving conservatively cause I didn't want to buy another set of tires.

Yes, my OEM rear tires wore before the front tires. If you’re replacing tires, do so as a pair on the same axle.
