Default Another: What do you think???

Ok, im getting real close to ordering my Z. I think I have settled on PPW Enthusiast model. Before I even take delivery I am going to get some 18" wheels and tires and have them ready. Here is what I have come up with. I think the bronze color will compliment the Pikes Peak White nicely. What do you think?

Black Racing Pro-N1 in Bronze (http://www.arw.co.jp/wheels/brn1.html)
Front: 18x8 +30mm offset with 225/45WR18
Rear: 18x9 +38mm offset wiht 245/45WR18

On the rears, should I go with 30mm offsest or 38mm and is my tire size cool or should I go larger?

Here are some crappy photochopped pics. (I used Glen's PPW for the bottom one.)

Thanks....

Too plain for my taste.

i have the ppw i feel that bronze looks great with this color and i also like the gunmetal. i found a set of wheels i really like with a polished lip looks really good. i called the company up looking to get a price with tires, they informed me they only make em' in 17" 4 lug. just my luck so the search continues. oh and just my 2 cents i'm not really liking those wheels.

Here's one for FOR those wheels! I like them. I have them on my list of wheels for the track.

I think you should go for it!

Thanks for the positive comments Audito350Z

I forgot about these pictures.... I know this article has been posted plenty enough already, but there is some more good (non-photochopped) pictures that show the wheels off better.. Sports Compact Car - Z Thrash

These wheels are the right price and just look gorgeous to me....... I think I’ve decided.........but I still have the questions of tire size. I don’t want to induce more understeer buy running the wrong size tires. help!

If you stay with the stock size, then you won't change oversteer/understeer any.

As long as you aren't trying to cram something like a 275/40-18 in the front and a 315/35 in the back, you should be in good shape.

I'd say a good size is the 245/40-18 on the front and 265/40-18 on the back. Conservative, but I doubt it will affect understeer/oversteer in any way. And you won't have any rubbing issues.

Add a larger rear swaybar if you want to induce oversteer, or get the car to feel more neutral.

Hope that helps.

How does a larger rear swaybar reduce understeer?

Thanks!
