I was just bringing up the fact of the TV or the mower was that they have all the eletronic features or the mower has a motor a transmission all the other features. The wheels are made and cut in a fabrication shop. I feel like they are so high is the market will pay that much for them. A mass producer can make the wheels a whole lot cheaper if they had to.

And expensive wheels, most notably multipiece and/or forged units, are made with extremely expensive equipment, with expensive raw materials, to exacting standards. Ever price out the cheap, cast wheel your Z comes with from the factory? Or the forged rays available on the Track model....talk about markup.

wheels are mass produced....you don't think they are making them in a machine shop do you? If that were the case, they would be $20k a set, not $2k (example - some billet motorcycle wheels).

Want to talk about margins...your tv and lawnmower are perfect examples.....you should see the cost to actually produce these items.

of course wheels are priced by what people will pay - how else would they be priced? we live in a capitalist society

if your looking for something inexpensive check out luff wheels, i think the best pricing on them is through www.dtmautowerkes.com and congrats on your new ride its always nice to get what youve been looking for another place to search for wheels for the z's is www.wheelstudio.com you cna search by vehicle, and get all the staggered applications you want. actually call them and ask for john (my golf buddy) he will take care of you, and they will be carrying luff as well as all the other brands. tell him brent sent you. 888 288 0070 is the #

Yea, wheels are extremely expensive, especially spinners . My sponsors threw a pair of $9,000 gold spoke spinners on my car I had before and for the life of me could not understand why they would pay that kind of money for a set of ugly *** wheels like those, but I had to keep them on and they eventually got trashed. I thought they were crazy paying that for a set of spinners but I was suprised to find that that is actually cheap for spinners, there is a shop here in town wanting $35,000 for a set of 26" Assassin Blade spinners..its rediculous.

if your looking for something inexpensive dont look at all. Your rims could crack, bend, look silly, and decrease performance all while costing you more money. Find the best mix of performance and looks that you can afford and go get it. If they dont beat the stock wheels why bother? (Z's come with pretty decent rims already)
