NO! You can put them on, but it's not recommended by any tire manufacturer, so your tire warrantee goes out the window. Also, any reputable tire shop, should refuse to install these on an 8" wide wheel. All the tire manufacturers recommend a rim range of from 9" to 11" for that size tire, with an optimum size of 9.5". The widest tire recommended for an 8" rim is 255, why not go with a 255/45/18 in back with a 245/40/18 in front?
