So, any reason you can't run a smaller diameter rim with a wider tire? No.

Exactly how big of a tire can you put on a 7.5 inch rim? I'm looking at some 5zigens... I was shying away cause they were only 7.5... I come from Mustangs and bmw's that have 9+ inch wheels on the back.. so I'm not used to this.

Thanks

Correction:

Any reason you can't buy a SMALLER DIAMETER rim with a WIDER PROFILE, thereby being able to SAFELY put a wider tire on it?

No.

Example, I think Jason@performance (or someone) has 17x11 in the back.

Please enlighten us with how much of a difference? Looks like Nissan went with 19s for the 06 model. Would it be legal for them to post the same performance #s? I'll do some testing with my Gtech pro later on. Are you rolling on some light weight volks?

unknown because i don't know the wheel and tire weights of the new 19s in the 2006 model

and the question is moot because nissan doesn't post performance numbers... magazines do. Nissan publishes specs.

Does any one have info on the weight of the various stock rims? Like the 17s on the enthusiast vs the 18s on the touring, etc?
