Default 19x9.5 or 10.5?

How much of a difference will 9.5 for the rear wheel be compared to 10.5 (+22 offset). Will the lip be noticable smaller? I'm kinda wondering if I should go with a 9.5, to avoid any clearance issues.

it all depends on your offset.. offset is what will tell you how much lip you'll have and whether you'll have clearance issues or not.

If you're planning to run any larger than 285s, you'd have to go with 10.5. Otherwise, you're fine with 9.5s.

If I remember right, 10.5 and 22 offset is the limit. So make sure your offset is equal or higher than that.

That is exactly what i needed. I wansnt too sure about what offset to get and what the limit was. I want the biggest lip in the rear. Oh yeah, what is the purpose of a wheel spacer? Does this affect the maximum lip that you can have?

I went with 9.5 +22 offset, because it's more important that the wheel not jut out of the wheel well to me than another half inch maybe of lip, and I'm going with 275s so that I don't rub. I don't mind the wheel being tucked in a little as I think that makes it look a little better anyway as opposed to sticking out of the wheel well even a couple of mm.

People get spacers because it pushes the wheel out to make it look more flush with the fenders... if you want more lip, get a wider rim and ditch the spacer.

Thanks 24/7,

OK, newb question, If i would get a 19X10.5 +22 offset, then would the wheel and rear fender appear flushed? So there is no need for a wheel spacer in this case correct?

Compare to the wheel/tire specs in my signature 10.5 +23. You are -1 offset which means 1mm pushed out. No need for a spacer definitely, that's about as far out as you'd ever want to go, without extensive modifications such as widebody fenders...

Here's a link with pics from my car, the pics aren't that great but the wheels are definitely as far out as you'd ever want.

Also note that I had to have the fenders "cut" in the rear to accomodate 285/35/19 tires.

Click the pics link in my sig to see a 19X10.5" rear with a +22 offset and a 285/35 tire-I have tons of pics. I had to roll the fenders to keep from rubbing. I would say if you feel like rolling/cutting the fenders AND running at least a 285 do the 10.5". If not just do the 9.5" with the 275 and you'll be fine....

How hard is it to roll the fenders? Is it a DIY job or better suited for a shop?

Its easy if you have a fender rolling tool. I had a guy do mine who does it as side work for $80, body shop wanted $300 to cut the fenders
