Default *Pics* Volk Diamond Black SF Challenge on SB Touring

First of all, a big thanks to Chris @ F1Motorsports, and Hector @ F1Motorsports. Chris was great to deal with and he doesn't toss around any bullsh!t or anything. Hector did great work cutting my fenders and more.

Stats are:
19x9.5 +28 19x10.5 +23, lowered (a little bit) on Hotchkis springs, BF Goodrich KDW-2 tires @ 255/35/19 and 285/35/19 with rubbing before cutting the rear fenders.

I apologize for the poor quality / blurry pics. For now they'll have to do, they are night pics taken (long exposure time) with no tripod. I tried resting the camera on various hard things, but my hand still wasn't steady enough.

I tried to touch up the pics with photoshop, but they're not that great. I will get some nicer pics soon

I meant to put $3.50 on the lip, but I couldn't find any of my $1 coins.

Charles, what is your offset in the rear? Even though I have 9.5 front and you have 9.5 rear, it looks like my 9.5 lip is smaller than yours. (My 10.5 is another story though )

(Don't forget that lip size x 2.5 = ***** size)

Awesome!!

I was wanting the BFG's for my next tire (coming up soon) in a 285/19, but wanted to see a pic first, you have dont it for me! I am pretty sure Hotchkis is a more significant drop then my Tein S Techs, when I get these tires I should be able to clear the tire and fender barely without rolling the fenders...hopefully. What is involved when rolling fenders anyway?

I'm considering going 285 on the rear on my next set of tires, but I don't know if I want to roll the fenders.

If your tires are that wide, you should roll or cut for peace of mind even if it doesn't rub initially. Basically the more negative camber you have, the more clearance you'll have. But you don't want too much negative camber, unless you like getting your tires "flipped" every 1000 miles...

Rolling just means bending the sheet metal in the rear fender back on itself. You're supposed to go really slow and apply lots of heat to make the paint more bendable, otherwise I think the paint could crack.

Cutting is pretty straightforward, they just cut part of that metal off instead of rolling it back. Seems safer to me, then you just have to make sure to keep the cut part painted so it doesn't rust.

The wheels look great! Needs a little more drop to be flush IMO...The only thing is that in the 2nd picture the rear tire looks too fat, somewhat like a balloon... Not bad though overall...

Rubbing at all is rubbing too much. It would've eaten up the sidewalls in no time.

I just took a couple of hard corners right after the rims were mounted. It didn't take much to make them rub. Plus after alignment, my camber should be more towards zero which would make rubbing worse. (My alignment is SHYTE right now)

It's probably the lighting. 285 is like the perfect size for 10.5" rim. 275 typically looks a little stretched, while 285 gives you a little more protection (but is nowhere near bulging).
