Default Different Wheels for Different color Zs...

There have been a lot of technical wheel posts lately (pics of wheels on Zs, offset discussions, etc.). So, I thought I would introduce something a little more philosophical to see what everyone thinks.

It has occured to me, after viewing many pictures of many nice wheels on many nice Zs, that the wheel type that looks best on the new Zs is largely dependent on the color of the car.

For example, IMO, a clean simple 5 or 6 spoke design (like the TE37s) looks great on Redline and Daytona Blue... being very sporty colors

On the otherhand, I've noted despite my aversion to multispoke (BBS-style) wheels, those types look really good on the dark colored Zs.

The silvers seem to pull of "complex" five spoke patterns the best... the types where the spoke is split or flare out or does something else unusual.

These, of course, are all just my opinions, but have really got me thinking. I've heard many comments about how classy the brickyard color looks... now I find myself trying to find an equally classy looking wheel to put on it, as opposed to a sportier wheel.

What about the rest of you? Do you feel the color of your Z dictates a certain "look" to the wheels you would consider buying and, if so, what wheel types do think would be best matched to what colors?

This is exactly what I'm talking about.... no offense to Cazzz 'cause he did pick the sweetest Z color there is

But, I think these five spokes look better on the silver Z than the brickyard.

Has anyone put anything akin to BBS's on a Z yet. I've seen the pics of the Iforged Seneka's on the red Z... any other complex spoke designs been matched to a Z yet?

I couldn't agree more.
