Default Car and Driver ranks Tires

Pretty interesting read. Suprised at their rating of the Toyo's.

just remember guys, tires are very subjective. Tires that kick butt on one car can stink on another. The only meaningful tests are those conducted on the car you are intending to use them on

Has anyone tested the tires on a Z to rate which ones are the best?? (The tread pattern is so close on the Goodyear to the Toyo, I am surprised the results are that much different, I know compound might be different, but in the wet and in other conditions, tread pattern would seem to dominate. INteresting).

I also wonder if the old T1S is better than the new one?? I was told that they only changed the shoulders so they don't wear as fast for high performance cars?
