The the better question would be why go with touring when you are thinking about tracking?

If I do recall, Touring 18's are lighter. As far as looks, it's all opinion. THe 18's will handle better. This is because the tire size is different(smaller sidewall). 18's will accomodate a big brake kit better.

The 17" wheels are 17"x7.5" for the fronts & 17"x8" in the back. The 18" wheels are 18"x8" front & rear.

If you are interested in a set of 17", I have a set I would sell & I am in the Bay Area too, so pick-up would be easy. PM me if interested

Hmm....so to finally have my question answered, If I decide to go with aftermarket 18" wheels, I would hafta look for some that are 18"x8" so I can stay with the tires that cam with my Z? Or would I be able to buy some nice 18"s 'n still have the factory Z tires fit on them? My issue is since I get free tires from Nissan for 3 years, I might as well try to buy rims that can still be compatible with those tires. Honestly, if I sound completely idiotic saying this, it's because I'm not an expert in this area. Any help is greatly appreciated =).
Also because some stupid lady who doesn't know how to drive forced me into a curb 'n I have nasty curb rash on my passanger front wheel A reason for me to buy new wheels
