Default Are There Winter Tires Other Than Blizzaks?????

I'm looking to keep the front stock 17" Potenza's and get some winter tires for the rear.

What other companies make winter tires for our cars? I haven't seen any but Bridgestone.

look at Toyo G02+.... I'ved used these on my Z for 2 seasons now (about to be 3rd) and they are FANTASTIC... better than blizzaks (which I have on our s2000).

another brand, although I'm not sure if you can get them in the states, is Nokian

btw, get winters on all four wheels

I've got the Dunlop Winter Sport M3 on all fours. TireRack recommended these over the Blizzaks. I got to use them last night and this morning and I all I've gotta say is... HOT Damn! I'm very please with the dunlaps. Go to tirerack and check em out.

David,

I couldn't find any Michelin X-Ice, Viking or Nokian winter tires that were stock 17" size. If you know of some random site please let me know.

I would highly recommend Bridgestone Blizzak's LM-22. I've heard a lot of good things about this tire. Also Yokohama makes a great snow tire too! Neither one is on the above list. The LM-22 is well worth the extra money above the WS-50 because after one snow season the WS-50 becomes less effective for winter driving, it ends up being just a regular seasonal tire. You pay for what you get!! Soooo true when it comes to snow tires!!
