Also I couldn't quite tell but are there adjustments on the mount to tension the bar?

MIA correct me if I am wrong but I think only the stock bar has tensioners for preloading.

The stock bar has a turn buckle tensioner yes but since this bar has aluminum mounts on the end if you make one a straight through hole and bolt it and then use an eccentric bolt on the other side with an oblong mounting hole you could theoritcally tension the bar by turning the eccentric bolt on the one end. Similar to how the toe bolts move the spring bucket.

I don't think the engine itself gets that hot but my EGT's will get to 1400 if im running her hard so im sure some heat is seeping under the hood.

wow.

I love it. Its function at its best and form has definatly followed right behind.

I like the matte type look, very tough and clean looking.

Extremely nice piece, and the group buy price is nuts! If I made those I would want twice as much for them!

I would buy one right now if only it would clear the top of my intake manifold

phunk, if you dont mind, what do you think of the eccentric bolt setup being used to tension the bar? It doesnt seem like it does that.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the comments! I guess you guys like this piece. Please do understand it is very difficult to make an aftermarket part to be competiable with all the other aftermarket parts in the market.

The bar sits about 4 - 5mm above the stock plenum therefore I am not sure if it will go over any plenum spacers.

Here is a picture of the bar installed:

Thanks,
Tom

Any chance of adding an eccentric bolt and elongated hole to one end. it would give you some adjustment for plenums and spacers and allow you to properly tension the strut towers.

I am in on the GB. I have a Crawford Plenum and if you want to send me one I will test fit it for you and let you know if it will work. It seems as though that is what is keeping people from getting in on this GB. Very nice piece by the way.

Tom

PM me and we can work out the $$$$
