if the cleaning process really bothers you, you can have a set of back up wheels to get your thru the rainy season and slap the 20s on once the weather is better.

wanna borrow my oem 18s?! yeah right!
I was thinking of doing this but that'll mean I'll need to spend some more money for another set of wheels which I don't have right now . Since I got a kit, I want to at least get some 19's (non-polished). Perhaps something like the OEM 19's off of the G35's. Is the 35th/06 wheels 19's?

the 06 track model and grand touring model has 18 for the front and 19 for the rears.

i've seen some 19"g35 wheels go for $1000-1200 if that helps.

Has anyone seen any negative effects from powdercoating wheels? I had a guy drive up from SoCal and on the way up one of his Rays Gram Lights wheels that he had powdercoated cracked in 3 different places. He thought it may have been the powdercoating that had weakened the wheel but this was the first I had heard of something like that happening.

Advanced Wheel Repair out here in OC told me that its better to use good base/clearcoat combo as opposed to powdercoating. They seem to have more customers return for refinishes from daily road conditions. Base/clear with flex additive can withstand more abuse so it seems.

BTW, get your CLK 350 yet?

James, leave your wheel alone for now. Get chrome as me then you don't have to worry about them not shiny anymore. i can see my face from the wheel every morning. No need to look to the mirror.
