pic of stock Track rims with 245/F and 275/R
Okay, I put S03's on here just a couple of days ago, tell me what ya think??
245/40/18 front
275/40/18 rear
they drive well, and I think they fill up the wheeel well perfect. Also, I have tried hard to make them rub, and I can't!! No problems at all.

So how much did it end up with everything? tires/mounting/balancing, etc..

I don't see why people insist on going against the tire manufacturers recommendations.
The proper rim width for a 275 is 9.5", a full inch wider than the Track Ray's.
Not only could your maximum performance be adversely affected, but so could your safety.

First off, the tire buldge is minimal... I'll take a pic later on tonight.
Secondly I like the agressive looks not the true preformance gain. I know that less rolling resistance mean greater speeds, but comeon... how many of you are really racing anyway. Just a few the rest like the feel anmd look of this car.
Thirdly, the "minimal bulge" is going to protect my rims... on the stock 225 fronts, the rim lip sticks out and will hit the curb first. I would much rather replace a set of $200 tire than cry about not having the money for a new $800 rim!!
Lastly, the tires, balance, and install cost me $905 total after tax.
I startted to go with the Kumo MX tires, but the S03's just looked better.

This is directly from Bridgestones web site. The front tires meet the Bridgestone recs. The rears are only .5 shy. This is very typical on rims and + or - .5 is very reasonable. When you do plus size a bit like this you simply need to monitor air pressure. I just drove the hell out of my car in Marin County. See Nor Cal Regional Forums. And the tires were great.

I'll take the wheels off the car and post more pics here later tonight.
My general reason for posting, was to see if this "mod" made the car noticibly better looking to anyone??

The fact that you are willing to run a tire that you admit is out of spec for the wheel size, illustrates that logic will not help dissuade you from this path. I truly hope that your luck does hold and that you don't experience any issues.
The downside is that others will see that you have done it and say, well it works for him so it will work for me. I know, I know, they are big kids, but group mentality is a strong force.
I hope that everyone considering 275s on stock rims really analyzes the importance of looks versus the possible danger to themselves and others. Is it really all that important?

I understand where you are comming from, and Bridgestone recommends a .5 larger rim for the 275's. But Wheel Works recommend 8.5 J max, and every other shop/company has a .5 or greater deviation.
I am not trying to win a race, or tear up the roads. My intent is to add to the look, and stance while still having a "safe" vehicle. This car is safe. I have been to three diffrent shops toay because you got me all riled up.
I am happy with these tires and they preform perfectly, even on the twisties, and in senior citizen traffic. If you are not comfortable with a tire that is not recommended, don't use it.
Don't contine to give me any grief about how millions will follow. The simple response is, "Would you jump off a bridge just cause I did?" I think the whole way through this I have siad nothing but take care when you are driving, and not to race around. Those are the only ones that could possibly hurt this tire/rim combo.
If you wish to discuss the Pro's and Con's of this tire size, start a thread. My question remains.... "Do they look good?"
