Default '04 Z..I hate the wheels it came with....

Just picked up an 04 Z w/ aftermarket wheels. The setup to me is horrible. It has 19s up front and 20's in the rear. The problem is that the 20's are 20x7.5, too "skinny" looking if you ask me. I need a wheel that is going to fill the wheel well a little better. Here are some pics, let me know what you think. BTW...these are Akita AK1 wheels...not certain of the 19in specs.

wheels spacers are your best friends. they dont look terrible, ive seen much worse. they just need to be pushed out a bit further to look more flush with the fenders.

Wheel spacers doens't make the tires any bigger, just stick out more. Get new wheels:

^^Great prices, great customer service. Good luck.

they don't look all that bad, but 7.5 is really skinny for the rear.

btw, congrats on the Z!

Can't thank you guys enough for the feedback. I should correct myself a little, I don't completely dislike the design of the wheels, although I would not have picked it. My biggest gripe is the width of the rear wheels.

Thanks for the spacer info, I might give this a try until I can get what I want.

Thanks again, I am really enjoying the Z.

Design is nice. Offset and width is horrible. I wouldnt even waste $$$ on a spacer, way to narrow. Look into getting some decent aftermarlet, or I thought Id never say this-stock wheels. Welcome to the boards btw....

I hear ya, but right now, it's all about the Benjermans, or lack thereof. After the downpayment a brotha is a little strapped to spend money on wheels. Give me a few months and I will definitely be doing something.

Um..it's just the wheels. Got a great deal on the car. Can always change out the wheels. Maybe not now, but soon.
That's like asking a majority of the people on the board w/ aftermarket wheels the same question. They knew the day they bought the car that the OEM wheels were off the car.

It doesn't matter what I think - its your car. If you don't like the wheels, get some new ones.

Ouch those wheels look horrible. And 7.5... Man sounds like 95% of the Z drivers down here... they are almost as bad as the usual ricers, all show and no go. I would not only get wider wheels but also ones with a smaller diameter. Maybe an 18x9 all around or go for 18x9 in the front and 18x10 all back if you want to stay staggered. I plan on staying with 17s and going wider (17x9s perhaps). You can probably get a decent chunk of change from those wheels since 20" tires are so expensive.
